I just wanted to know if bed bugs only shed their skins and grow after having a blood meal, can what looks like BB skins be ignored if one is sure no one around is bitten?
And finally do BBs shed skin only at the place they are hiding and nesting? or can skins be found on open spaces like floors?
Yes, bed bugs only shed their skin and grow with a blood meal. If they can’t feed, they can’t progress to their next growth stage and become sexually mature. They’ll leave a shed skin pretty much anywhere they feel safe – they’re not big on having a single central “nest” that they always return to.
