Exponent Insecticide Synergist

Bed Bug Supply Review - see what our experts have to say about this product
Exponent is a rather unique product among the other chemicals in our catalog in that it is not an insecticide. Rather, it acts as a synergist to pyrethroid-based compounds to increase their effectiveness. Exponent contains piperonyl butoxide (PBO), which increases insect susceptibility to its tank partner. This results in a faster and more thorough kill rate, and also helps reduce the likelihood of resistance to the insecticide used.
Due to its lack of insecticidal properties, Exponent is not intended for use by itself. It should only be used as a component of a tank mix. When mixing, you should always follow the most restricted labeling of all products in the mixture - if one product is labeled for something that the others are not, disregard that additional labeling.
With that said, Exponent is labeled for indoor and outdoor applications, including food preparation areas. It has a low odor, but can stain, so test it in a small space first. Exponent can be applied via broadcast surface spray, crack and crevice treatments, spot treatments, mechanical foggers, and ULV foggers.
Product Information
Exponent is a unique pest control synergist, used to boost the effectiveness of many common insecticides. Exponent is an emulsifiable concentrate for use in a tank mix with pyrethroids, fogging solutions, and other insecticide concentrates, to aid in improving the control of insects and mites. Note that Exponent has no insecticidal properties of its own.
Exponent contains PBO, a synergist that interferes with certain mechanisms of insecticide resistance by inhibiting the mised function oxidase enzyme system. By increasing insect susceptibility to insecticides, Exponent allows for a much greater level of population control.
