Bed Bug Steamers

A great way to treat sofas, chairs, furniture, mattresses, cabinets, walls and just about anything else is with a bed bug steamer. Our steamers produce 200+ degree steam, which is needed to kill bed bugs and their eggs on contact. A steamer can also be used on carpets and is one of the best ways to treat baseboards, cracks and crevices. Remember when applying steam to move at one inch per second to kill bed bugs on contact. A great place to start is our Steamer Comparison Page, which compares each bed bug steamer side by side.

Bed Bug Steamer Buying Tips:

Capacity: Entry-level steamers like the Haan HS-20 are lightweight and inexpensive, but only carry about 1 cup of water at a time. This means that they will only steam continuously for up to about 15 minutes, while more professional bed bug steamers can steam continuously for over an hour.

Power: Depending on the size and price of a steamer, you may see a considerable power difference, ranging from 40 PSI to over 70. The higher the PSI, the dryer the steam will be, and the higher the temperature at the tip, making for a more efficient bed bug killer.

Control: A high-end bed bug steamer will often come with extra control functions, like a pressure knob that allows you to adjust the steam pressure. Some less expensive models may have some control, but aren’t likely to be as adjustable as the more premium products.
